House of brands embeds Mamamia as Australia's strongest independent publisher
Audience and download growth across Mamamia's house of brands have seen Australia's largest women's network embed its position as Australia's most popular independent publisher, according to the independent Triton Digital Podcast Ranker for August.

SYDNEY, 17 September 2026. Mamamia remains the most popular independent publisher by listeners in the Global Top 300, and number three overall for share of Australians tuning in.
Programs including True Crime Conversations and Everyone Has An Ex both showed strong growth in August.
True Crime Conversations saw listeners and downloads jump 15% and moved from #23 to #18 globally, as host Gemma Bath returned to spearhead the show that has had more than 48 million lifetime downloads. Everyone Has An Ex nearly tripled its listenership and jumped more than 80 spots to #61.
Mamamia Out Loud remained #1 overall, underpinning Mamamia's position as Australia's top women's publisher, attracting nearly 10M people a month in Australia alone across podcasts, newsletters, social and video.
Another strong performer is The Quicky, which has risen 13 places nationally to #21 year on year, outperforming the broader news category in the same period.
Charlotte Mortlock and Tamsin Rose joined The Quicky as co-hosts in August, bringing serious newsroom firepower to the show with a positive early indicator for The Quicky showing +2.2% download growth and +3.6% listener growth when comparing month on month July data.
Mortlock is a political reporter and news anchor with 12 years in broadcast journalism across New York, Sydney and rural Australia, most recently at Sky News. Rose brings more than a decade at Guardian Australia, the ABC and News Corp, reporting on politics, crime and major public-interest stories, and is also Head of The Quicky.
"We are already seeing the benefit of our combined newsroom approach here at Mamamia with Charlotte and Tamsin spearheading The Quicky. Gemma Bath is also back behind the microphone on True Crime Conversations and engaging our audiences across our podcasts, written and social," said Ruth Devine, Mamamia Content Director.
"The recent Lindsay Clancy Trial is a great example of how different shows cover the same zeitgeist story in different ways, in keeping with their particular brand. As The Quicky is covering news of the day, True Crime Conversations is deep-diving into the intricacies of the case, and Out Loud is concentrating on what women are talking about around the story.
"This is where Mamamia's house of brands really shines. Our audiences love it, and it demonstrates the collaboration and sharing opportunities that can be achieved under this strategy," added Devine.
